Nothing clever here. Just the five Figma shortcuts we drill into every new starter on day three. None of them are flashy. All of them save real time across a working week.
- Cmd or Ctrl + Alt + K: turn anything into a component, instantly
- Cmd or Ctrl + D: duplicate in place. Faster than copy-paste, every time.
- Cmd or Ctrl + Shift + H: hide the layer. Useful for quickly trying without and with.
- Cmd or Ctrl + /: open the command bar. The single biggest productivity unlock in Figma.
- Alt + drag: measure the gap between two things without leaving the canvas
Try them for a week. If you don't notice the time back, blame us.
