Hello. We're Helmflux, a creative studio based in Bristol, and as of this year we're officially open for work. This is our first proper post on the blog, so it felt right to use it to introduce ourselves, explain what we believe about creative work, and tell you what we're building first.
Who we are
Two co-founders, James and Daniel, plus a small core team. Between us, twenty years of agency, in-house and freelance design and web work. We started Helmflux because we wanted to build the studio we kept wishing we could hire ourselves: honest about pricing, fast on delivery, kind to work with, and equally good at the three things we actually do.
The three lanes
- Design: brand, marketing creative and identity, on subscription or by project
- Websites: fast, well-built WordPress and headless sites with sensible long-term costs
- AI: practical AI tools and automations for small businesses, no hype
Three lanes. No sub-lanes. We're not going to be the right studio for everyone, and we're at peace with that. If you need someone for one of those three things and you'd like a partner who'll give you straight answers, we'd love to hear from you.
