WEEK 1
Audit and content model
Crawled the live site, mapped every URL and template, modelled the WordPress content types we'd need. Decided on 12 reusable Gutenberg blocks instead of full page templates so content editors stay in the lane.
BREVIA ENERGY
Brevia's Webflow site looked good and ran badly. We migrated to a custom WordPress stack on UK hosting, designed a faster set of templates and cleared every Core Web Vitals threshold inside week one of going live.

The challenge
The marketing team was happy with the design but the technical scores were tanking organic traffic. Webflow was charging £200/month, the CMS was painful for non-designers and Lighthouse mobile was scoring 41. They wanted WordPress, UK hosting, and a content team that could actually publish without breaking layouts.
The approach
WEEK 1
Crawled the live site, mapped every URL and template, modelled the WordPress content types we'd need. Decided on 12 reusable Gutenberg blocks instead of full page templates so content editors stay in the lane.
WEEKS 2–3
Custom WordPress theme (no page builder bloat), hosted on Cloudways UK, behind Cloudflare. AVIF image pipeline, lazy-load everywhere, critical CSS inline, one font subset. Deployed to staging end of week two for content load.
WEEK 4
Pulled the full Webflow content into WordPress with automated scripts. Built a 1:1 redirect map for every old URL. Ran the SEO sanity checklist twice: schema, sitemaps, robots, hreflang, Core Web Vitals, 404 sweep.
WEEK 5
Soft launch on a Tuesday morning, full DNS cutover Wednesday. Marketing team trained Friday. We monitored Core Web Vitals daily for 90 days and re-tuned the image pipeline twice. Organic traffic up 38% by day 90.
“We finally have a site that's fast, ours, and that the content team enjoys using. The migration week was so calm I kept expecting something to go wrong.”
